Mentor of the Year Finalist
Nichelle Harris: Mentor of the Year Finalist
Pacific senior Nichelle Harris has been named a Mentor of the Year finalist by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Empire, selected from programs impacting over 900 youth across the region. As a dedicated High School Bigs mentor, Nichelle has made a powerful difference supporting an elementary student at Anton Elementary. This honor includes $1,000 in college and career funding, with winners announced soon. We’re incredibly proud of Nichelle’s leadership and heart for service!

Where Do Title I Funds Go?
|
Title I funds are carefully planned to improve academic success and create equal opportunities for students. At Pacific, funds support intervention programs, instructional materials, digital resources, and extended learning opportunities.
|

Families play an important role in Title I decisions. Parents, students, and staff work together through our School Site Council (SSC) to review data and help plan programs and the Title I budget for the next school year.

Saturday School at Pacific High School
|
Saturday School is held from 9 AM to 2 PM on scheduled Saturdays, giving students the flexibility to come for as little as an hour or stay the whole day, whatever best fits their needs. Students can use this time to redo assignments and projects, get extra help with writing, or study for exams. Our tutors and teachers are here to provide support and guidance. We encourage students to take advantage of this valuable opportunity!

Missing School Is Missing Out!
|
Pacific Pirates, attendance matters!
Coming to school every day helps students stay on track, improve grades, and graduate on time. Attendance is key to learning alongside peers and succeeding.
Parents, you can use Aeries to view attendance and grades. The district allows five days to clear any absences with the Attendance Office. If you see an absence listed in Aeries, please contact the Attendance Office at (909) 388-6419 or email Ms. Alamilla to have it cleared
Attendance for student athletes will be cleared as a verified school activity once the Attendance Office receives the required documentation from the athletic event. Please note that updates may not appear on the same day as the event, but will be corrected shortly after all information is received and processed.
If your student has Verified School Activities (such as extracurriculars, sports, clubs, or testing), please allow up to three days for these absences to be cleared in Aeries.
Important reminder:
If a student is marked absent for the entire school day and only arrives during the last period on the day of an athletic event, the attendance cannot be cleared as a verified school activity for that day.
If your student participated in a school sport and their attendance has not yet been updated, please contact the Attendance Office at (909) 388-6419. Our team is happy to review and correct any eligible attendance issues.
If your student will be absent for one week or longer, please contact the Attendance Office to begin Short-Term Independent Study. This allows your student to receive attendance credit and obtain work packets from their instructors.
Please note: contacting instructors only does not initiate Independent Study and your student will not receive attendance credit without approval through the Attendance Office.
Good attendance also keeps you eligible for school events, let’s make every day count!

This is a chance to talk about what’s going well, what may be challenging, and how we can work as a team to support your student at school and beyond. Our goal is to create a simple, personalized plan so every Pirate feels supported, confident, and on track for success.

Through Aeries, you can check grades, attendance, class schedules, test scores, and important school information at any time.

Staying connected is essential to supporting your student’s success. Please remember that you can use ParentSquare to clear absences by emailing our attendance verifier, Elisa Alamilla, directly through the platform.
ParentSquare also allows you to stay in touch with your student’s teachers and counselors so you never miss important updates or messages.
If you’d like to meet with your counselor or schedule an SST appointment, simply contact the counseling office, and they will gladly help you set up a meeting. We are here to ensure you have all the tools and support you need.
