Policy Statement for Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, Section 504, and the Americans with Disability Act
The San Bernardino City Unified School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,

sex (including sexual harassment), sexual orientation, gender (identity or expression), disability
(physical or mental), age, medical condition (cancer and genetic characteristics), personal or
family genetic information, family care and medical leave entitlements, marital or parental status,
or on the basis of a person’s association with a person or group with one or more of these actual
or perceived characteristics in any of its policies, procedures, or practices in compliance with
applicable federal and state laws, including Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights act of 1964
(pertaining to race, color, and national origin); Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972
(pertaining to gender); Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (pertaining to disability),
Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 and Age discrimination in the Employment
Act of 1975 (pertaining to age 40 and over), the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the
federal Family and Medical Leave Act, the California Family Rights Act and the Fair Employment
and Housing Act. This nondiscrimination policy covers admission, participation, and accessibility
to any program or activity of the district and selection, advancement, discharge and other terms,
conditions and privileges of employment. Inquiries regarding the equal opportunity policies, equal
program accessibility policies and the filing of complaint procedures alleging discrimination,
